No one puts baby in the cornerby markwileyComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Heh, I recognize the title as a quote from Dirty Dancing. But the imagery is far, far from any romantic human interest story. Geez, the face on the doll in the backdrop is creepy and dangerous. Great lighting to add a sinister and spooky mood to the overall scene. The little girl is curled up asleep and unaware of the danger that lurks behind her. |

Trick or his Treatby GilesComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
The big, bad demon wolf coming at you to stab with that wicked knife - definitely a scary and run for your life type shot. The lighting is fabulous. You have great dynamic tones in the shadows and highlights in the B&W. The low angle makes it appear that this demon wolf is towering over us as we cower on the floor. Top notch and high marks for a scary Halloween composition. My only critique is that I wish you removed the watch on the right hand:-) |

Innocenceby Tommy_MacComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Lighting and details on the face of this young girl are fabulous. The blonde tresses that curl down around her oval face, the freckles, and the startling blue eyes do indeed paint a picture of young innocence. But then there are the little sinister details that tells the audience all is not so innocent. The staring eyes, the black veil, and the dribble of blood coming from the lips all speak of something lurking behind the innocence. |

The green hue project an errie and scary mood which complements the subject of the photo. This is one bathroom stall that I would take one quick glance at and then do a quick step out of the room. |

Burn!by HawkinsTComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
The colors and the fiery action in the backdrop behind the gents grabs my attention. Guy Fawkes Day perhaps? It is an interesting shot with two gents dressed in period costume. I wonder what exactly is on the sign that the gent is holding and is he going to place it on the bonfire. I just wish that you captured both men in a stance were we could see faces and expressions better. |

Colors and PP are top notch on this portrait of an angry looking man. I was looking at the two halves and wondering what was supposed to be so creepy. Both are mirror images of one half.....then I noticed the split and the third eye peeking out from the center. |

The Witching Hour by Samantha_TComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Upon further thought, bumping up to a 7. I think the composition as a whole is good and has some strong elements but it is way too busy. I feel that less is more and would have worked far better. Love the shadows of the skeletal hands on the wall, the floating lamp, and the skeletal man crawling out from the bed. The glowing red eyes under the bed, the green monster coming through the door and the ghost are well done but they take away visual impact from the other elements which I feel are stronger. The eye has just too much to look at. Oh, wait just discovered the skull in the carpet...nice subtle touch there. I like the model's fearful expression for that works well with the fear factor of all the supernatural things that occur in the photo. Not a big thing, but I am a stickler for details - the Witching Hour is midnight so the title should reflect that hour. As it is the clock reading 3 a.m. would be better suited for the Hour of the Wolf |

Lavender Laneby tangueraComment: Wow, what a beautiful sight - better in person especially if with the lovely floral smell. Love the colors and the light for it has this early morning feel. This makes me a bit nostalgic for Cally - some very interesting streets and sights to be found out in L.A. |

Match.com #195 Suthern Gentealman prefur Wimen w/ Kamerasby littlemavComment: Oh....my....ROFLMAO! I am floored with what you did to achieve the creepy and 'ugly' guy. Love, love the humor of the shot and kudos to you for your creativity. Great pose with the sly look and the 'stick' in the mouth as that he definately seems to be posing to look 'sexy' for the ladies on Match.com. The lighting is also great for it further accents the facial features, wrinkles and veins in the face and hands. Grats on placing in the top 5! |

Last of the Boehicans by CoryComment: Love the wordplay on injecting your name into the title, Cory:-) Lighting and the details are just fabulous! That single, piercing blue eye peers out of the camouflage and ensnare's the audience's attention. This Boehican obviously went hunting voters and succeeded;-)
Question: You mentioned that you got chemical burns. Did you use Spirit Gum? It's what we used in Theatre years ago to afix beards, fake noses, elf ears and the like. |
