Natural WHAT - 1/2 Inch long Puss Caterpillar (AKA Tree Asp)by olddjComment: Oh well, thought this was a good "what", something was wrong somewhere!!LOL Anyway, this is the caterpillar of the flannel moth, and it does not bite, but in its hairs are "stingers", and if you touch it, you will find out why they are called tree asps. Painful to humans, the irratation of pain and itch can last 6 weeks or more. Was moving quite fast for its size when spotted on sidewalk, which is where he was photographed, not about to move him!!! Only thing I see wrong with this pic is it is a TAD blurry at his "tail", oh well!!

Say What?by ShakeyComment: background too yellow for my taste and buck is a tad dark, maybe try cropping out the bright yellow on the right side, put the buck's head on the thirds line, may help IMO, overall nice capture! |
