I really like this as an idea. I think yu needed to experiment with the light some more to make the ball jump out at you. Yes, even though its "forgotten" it all feels a littlee flat at the moment. Brightness and contrast Adjustment Layers will make this possible. When you submit too, se if you can make it as big as possible. This could have been 640x494. If that makes it over 150kb, then you change the JPEG compression ratio until it gets below 153kb. There's quite a bit in the forums about how to do that.
