Super sharp. I love it. If it wasn't for the other bird images in that challenge this would have done much better; a victim of "who has the most colourful bird?" I gave it 8.

It looks like you have artifacts/halo on the stem due to slight over-sharpening. Strong composition but I don't think your subject matter lends itself well to silhouette because the seed head, even though in silhouette, would not look much different, well lit with soft light.

Very creative. Great example of silhouette. Composition is also very strong. The glimmer of light between the two fingers is briliant (not meant as a pun).

I've seen sunsets that were nearly this red. I'd like to think this is real, that's why I'm giving this one of my highest votes. Very good example of silhouette with a very strong composition.

The colour in the flowers and basket detracts from the image as a silhouette; in other words, it takes away from the silhouette achieved on the figurines.

Sorry but this isn't a very good example of silhouette. If you had taken the picture at a time of the day when the sun was shining on the opposite side of the statue then you could have achieved a nice silhouette effect. Otherwise it is composed fairly well and the negative space could have worked well. Only fair to say why I gave it a 2.
