I don't like the idea of an action shot being evokied using the intense diagonal skew, only for no action to be evident in the shot. Also the back of the sofa, for example, would have been a more fitting setting for the title.

Cropped too tight. A portrait shot including the laces and the line with space below the shoes would be better. Maybe an empty sky would make a better backdrop too, since those bushes add nothing to the idea or composition.

Technically a lovely shot. Vivid colours in the leaves, I like the way the sunlight catches the soles of the trainers. You could have lost the tree in the bottom right also. But however, the concept of a pair of shoes dangling from a tree is kind of bizarre though. If you were going to see shoes dangling fom anything you would expect them to be hanging from a telephone line.

A nice shot, good contrast, and captures the action well. Not sure about the crop. It's too tight to capture the whole picture for a sports shot, and it's too loose to really focus on the shoes, which is suppossed to be the theme. The right leg, the board and the arm would have been enough. Less is more
