Howzat guys,

Thanks for all the comments!

Truth be told, I only had the 18-55mm lens, so I had to get really really close to the action.

My first few attempts left everything full of oil (luckily I have a UV filter), and I also burnt my head quite a bit!

:)

After a few rounds, It was just too dark, so I moved the elctric pan outside into the sun, and shot it there. This time round, however, I used a plastic bag around my camera, leaving only the UV filter exposed.

Still, couldn't use a tripod as I had to get very close, and I also had a lot of burning oil all over my face which wasn't particularly pleasant.

I wanted to submit this one, But the popcorn wasnt completely in focus, unfortunately.

Popcorn2

I agree with the comments that it wasnt the best crop, and it was a bit of a pity that the one that did pop, was out of frame, but after being covered in oil, and having a brand new 350D that smelt like a fish and chips shop - I had to throw in the towel.

:)

Hi there,

"Handle with care" and "Delicate" relates directly to my subject.

She is delicate, so handle her with care.

Yet, in retrospect, I cant expect my peers to know her, so she is a representation of someone who is "Delicate"

A female in this case, a girl - her fragile position emphasised by the black and white tone, the position of her face, and of course... the wind blowing through her hair.

I think this (obvious to me) concept went over too many people's heads, so I will take your advice next time round and make it more literal in this respect!

:)

I agree, the curtains seemed to lend a nice tone in the beginning, but the more I looked at it after submitting, the more it seemed to bother me.

THank you for taking the time to crit my photo!!

Very nice concept! Awesome pic...

THere is one small hitch though... the light on the left is closer to the grass then the red light on the right - but otherwise very good... 8
