Daisiesby Tommy 2 ToneComment: *Critique Club*
Very nice idea, the colors are excellent. This image grabs your eye when you look through the many thumbnails in the contest. The only thing that was disappointing for me was when I opened the image and none of the flowers were strongly in focus. I was just assuming the first one would be in focus. Without one being in focus it makes the image seem very soft. Maybe you were going for a extremely soft image. I just feel I would have rated higher if one was strong in the image. The lighting , composition and contrast are all very nice thought the photo. I think you did a great job on the selection of this photo and a nice different bright preceptive. |

The crop on this image is what drew my attention in. This is a drastic capture, possibly it is the crop that gives it that feel. I think you have a great subject especially with the colors that were naturally provided. I would be curious to see the shot from a little bit lower of an angle. I think in the perspective challenge, the more you can play and alter you photo to look different from the rest is very important. I am not sure about the plant that was included at the upper left side. I really love the lighting that is breakthrough the overhang about half way down the image. Good job! |

Worth the Runby madhatterComment: *Critique Club*
Wow, excellent shot. The composition immediately grabbed my attention. Overall I love what you have captured. The weather is amazing for a runner, and to capture a runner's shot. This is an wonderful image to see, it makes me want to go run in the fog. Also congratulations on your finish this is very well deserved. I think you placed your self perfectly in the image and capture the natural landscape in an amazing manner. There is no much to critique from the shot, other done it is an excellent capture, and I couldn't see anything that could have changed to make this better. Also great job on taking your time to edit your own photo. |

Modern Talking...by bamihooComment: *Critique Club*
Very cool find. This a very different perspective that I am sure very few of us have seen, since most of have never been to the Netherlands. The subject and background are very interesting. I like the lines that really make the image stand out. There are so many different lines and shapes to pick out of the photo. I would be curious to see it with the colors enhanced a little. Also I would be interested to see the photo taken from a couple different angles. I would have like to seen the reflection in the bottom windows taken out, its seems a little odd in the photo. The lighting feels go in the phot, there aren't any odd shadows looming in the photo. Overall this is a nice shot, I would defiantly score you high on the perspective part of the challenge. You truly found the subject for the challenge. I would have just like to see a little more color. It was a decent finish in such a large category. |

Cat's Domainby RelocinComment: *Critique Club*
Very cool idea from the cats perspective. I think it is great you have the cat in the center of the photo, I think if you moved the shot the perspective would not be there. This is a very pleasing photo, the colors are nice. The green grass always makes things look more alive. I would be curious to see the shot from a little bit lower of an angle. It feels like we are just a little bit above the cats head. I really do love the idea. It would be cool if everything in the background was a little more in focus. I know how hard that could be but the shed back there is really cool in the image. Great thinking! |

Touch the skyby AnandComment: *Critique Club*
Interesting perspective, you really did capture the length of the sail. The overall shot is very nice. I like to play with the positioning of the subject and would be curious to see if off to one side more then the other. One other thing I would have played with to see what would happen would be the colors. There is just something about a shot where the colors just pop out of the photo. I thinking standing out is important in these large competitions, I know my attention many times is drawn to the thumbnails with bright colors that require your immediate attention. Also by enhancing the colors of the sail it would be probably intensify the sky and made a more dramatic effect. You would probably have to make sure the clouds weren't to drastic and take away from the subject. Very nice job overall and a good subject. |

look deeper in your eyesby eyjoComment: *Critique Club*
I do like this photo, it was one that grabbed my attention during the challenge. Something about being a little different between the way the photo was shot and the lighting made it stand out. I think you did an excellent job capturing the light his eyes. The overall shadowing and light is very appealing. The background also suits the image very well. The only thing I found a little odd in the photo, is in his eye there is weird shading. Maybe the shading is caused by a contact and was picked up the way the light was falling on the subject. I do really like the lighting, I would be curious to see the photo with his shoulder down just a bit leaving the shadow off of this mouth. I think the post editing you did is also very nice. Good job! |
