The thumbnail didn't do this shot any justice whatsoever; simply brilliant photograph.

Just for the ambiance, your "9" becomes a ("perfect") "10."

Nice idea, nice try...but I'm not buying it. It's a landscape shot, and it has little to do with the challenge. Per se, the picture could stand to be somewhat sharper.

It (the shot) looks too "staged" to have any sort of "authentic" feel to it.

I wish the horizon were ever so slightly adjusted (so to be level), but even as it is, this is one of the best entries I've thus far seen. Great work.

Unforgivably under-exposed, and the under-exposure lends nothing to the shot. A think the image had promise, but, at this point, is simply too poor to get a very high score. Sorry.

Incredibly "National Geographic" type of shot; that's a good thing, in this instance. This is my favorite entry thus far (and, though I haven't yet gotten very far, I suspect that it'll not likely be "dethroned").

I think the subject begs for a little "head room," but, that aside, I find the image pleasantly composed. A low contrast also adds to the feeling of "age" and being "washed out" through time. Overall, I like the picture.

The fading white border makes the shot's "oldness" seem less genuine. I'd have done away with its inclusion.
