I really like the look of the tree on the right. The impact of your photo, as it relates to the challenge isn't working for me. It could just as easily have been titled Year 1999. The strong sun flares are quite distracting for me. JMO.

I agree with your statement expressed in the title. The portrait could have been stronger with a little more of the girls face and a glimpse of her eyes.

I will agree with you that having a baby in the house is an amazing time. The focus on this shot is a little soft. I would like to see the focus on the eyes to be cris. Also, this shot doesn't quite capture the challenge, IMO.
