Howling Birchby StrikeslipComment: Slippy, Congrats on the high finish with this shot. I read the story about the shot and Mr. Dickeboom. In Dutch, the words Dikke Boom translates to Thick Tree!! |

Autumn Reflectionsby NeilComment: Very cool concept. I like the flow of this and how the tree trunk acts as a leading line to draw the eye into the abrstact. Being an abstract, I think you could have saturated the colours more to give the abstract more vibrancy and maybe, as a result, a reason to linger even longer on this good abstract. Overall, well done. |

Contemplationby NunoComment: A nice shot with a good overall composition. The wide angle gives a nice long view to the bridge. I would have liked to have seen a little more definition to the clouds. Not sure if a grad ND might have helped to give a little more details or not. JMO. |

Alkaliby bruskiComment: Nice composition. The shore line works well as a leading line to guide the eye into the photo. Nice depth to the photo. |

Mooringsby aboutimageComment: The wide angle usage is evident. The shot is nice, but I was wondering if you tried other perspectives of this shot, such as a different placement of the horizon or even placing the cmera really close to the ground and offering a little more foreground. Just curious. |

Land of the Rising Sunby mpembertonComment: I can see that you've used a wide angle with the and the sunrise colours in the centre are well exposed. For me, the composition is a little too centred for my liking and the foreground is too dark. I'm not sure if you used any filters on this to help with the exposure control, but I would have liked the forground to have been a little lighter to emhasize the depth of the wide angle. JMO. |

Entranceby BrinComment: Nice work on this image. Overall, a good composition and the symmetry is really pleasing to look at, IMO. I like the B&W for this shot. Good eye. |

Night Falls by elsapoComment: A wonderful image. Nice sharp silhouette. Awesome composition (a nice rule of thirds rule breaker!) Wonderful colours. My only nit is the flash of colour at the bottom left corner. Because it is so different from the rest of the image, it stands out very much and as such, is a bit distracting to me. Overall, a very good job. |

From Here to Eternityby donnievComment: A wonderful tonal quality to the building. Good use of the wide angle to create the perspective shot. I'm impressed with the focus and clarity of the building lines as my eye moves upward along the building. My only nit would be the little nit of grey cloud along the left side near the top. A minor distraction at most. Excellent photo. |

Toad Pondby STEINRComment: A nice scene and some nice depth to the shot. I would have liked a little better management of the dynamic range of the scene. Perhaps a Grad ND filter would have helped to kep the clouds from being so bright. JMO. |
