This is a really good shot. The motion blur in the lead gulls wings makes it's head stand out a lot, and just looks great. It's a beautiful sky for a background, too!

Wastin' Away Again...

Thank you all for your comments and votes!!I'm thrilled, it's my best score yet. 29th place is awesome! I really enjoyed shooting this one and had a lot of fun with it.

For those who were wondering, or maybe didn't understand, this is a reference to Jimmy Buffett's song "Margaritaville" The final bit goes, "Blew out my flip-flop, stepped on a pop-top, cut my heel and had to cruise on back home. But there's booze in the blender, soon it will render, that frozen concoction that helps me hang on. Wastin' away again in Margaritaville, lookin' for my lost shaker of salt..."

So there you go, that's what inspired me. :D

Title would work better if the smoke stack was at the very top, with only a tiny bit of sky showing. As is, I read "searching to find..." and think, "wait...it's 80% of the pic...what's to search for?"
