Hope Springs Eternalby DennisFComment: The title is all that ties this shot to the challenge. This wasn't a challenge for a flower shot. That said, this shot needs a unique perspective or approach to get it to stand apart from every other generic flower shot. It's not a bad shot by any means, it's just an extremely overused shot being used in a challenge it doesn't relate to. Sorry for the harshness. Best of luck to you. 2 |

For sale. Baby shoes. Never worn.by SharQComment: One of the few shots that effectively portrays emotion without having a person in the shot. The title acts as an exclamation point to the shot. Nice work. 7 |

Heavenly Skiesby mariomelComment: It's a beautiful shot, but it's not a shot for an emotion challenge. A silhouette of a church and a sky filled with clouds might be vaguely related to emotional experiences, but there doesn't seem to be a solid connection to me. 4 |

fallingby sum1undercoverComment: Out of focus intentionally I know, but I don't like the effect in this shot. The shot just doesn't have enough detail to it to be effective, especially as showing or eliciting emotion. Perhaps for a falling effect it would have been better to place your subject towards the top of the frame and allow for negative space at the bottom. Attempts at creativity are always appreciated, but I don't think this one worked out particularly well. 4 |

The Language of Loveby NatashaComment: Nice crisp shot. I like the placement and composition all around. Conveys emotion in the subtle ways of life. Good work. 8 |

Repentant Heartby sunflowerComment: The DARE shirt is distracting. A shirt without writing would have been preferable for a studio shot, unless this is supposed to be about drugs somehow. |

Almost Holy by KonadorComment: Maybe a little overboard on the negative space, but I stress the word little because I like the effect you've created. The lighting works great. This is a great example of how a photo that already contains emotion is enhanced greatly by a good title. The title really puts the icing on the cake here. Great work. 9 |

It's just sadby KimInNBComment: You can slant your camera but its still just a shot of a tv screen. You haven't done anything significant enough to make this your own unique work or to make it an impressive or effective photograph. Best of luck. 2 |

All in the eyes.by GeocideComment: This shot needed a better setup. The blue line in the bottom left could have been avoided and the shadowing on the right side kills the photo. That's really too bad because you've got a really sharp focus on the eye and better lighting would have revealed a great eye shot. This shot also seems to lack any specific emotional expression, but I do see the tie in that you're going for here. Good luck to you. 4 |

I Hate Showersby nathaliedooComment: I like the framing, the detail is great and the expression is wonderful. I like the b&w as well. It'd be better without the shadowing in the background, but that's a minor complaint. This is a great example of how kid shots can be art if they're done well. Beautiful work. 9 |
