some things i like about this shot, some things i don't. the bug is funny, he/she looks like it is taking in a 'scenic overlook.' i don't think the shot is well balanced, it does not 'flow.' i would like to see it cropped with a horizontal orientation, leaving out much of the sky/clouds. good luck, i give you a 5

this picture has pretty good balance and interesting composition (bias here, i love water, and a bit of rapids is even better!). I think you could have cropped it a little better, I would love to see a veritcally oriented version with about an 1/8th cropped on the left and a quarter cropped on the right. I won't hold that against you in your score, because I could be wrong (would have to see), just giving you an idea. I give you a 7

nice shot! I wonder if it would be better if you cropped a little more out. the branches and leaves in the left and upper part of the photo are in perfect focus, but the bird is not (understandably). anyway, i find it a bit distracting from the subject. i give you a 6
