I don't know, I think the serious look is fine. The serious side of flying. Like "I'm a pilot, and this is serious business. See that thing behind me? If you got sucked in there, you'd be mince pies." He'd probably like the photo better if he was smiling a little though. The little swirly thing is a mild distraction being that close to his head. Maybe you could tone that down a little?

Thank you timfy. :) Very nice. I like the colour matching with the 2 outfits. There something funny in the editing here, with little spots of blurred outlines. I'm guessing you manually blurred the background, but caught bits of the fg as well. But I think this shot will still do well.

Cows on the Hill

Looks like a fun place to go cow pushing. You know, when you go out at night, and sneak up on cows that are sleeping standing up, and if you push them hard enough, you can make them fall over. Man, they'd just keep on rolling. :)

Hi Timfy! Great portrait series. This is my pick of the bunch. What a pity he closed his eyes. Other than that, great expression, great posing, and the colours, lighting and sharpness are all perfect. Mum's legs shaping through the background looks a little odd. Maybe some cushions or something on her lap might make it less shape-obvious. :)

Nice shot. Everyone's commented on the focus already. For the crop, I'd cut a bit off the left of the image. She is obviously the focus of the image, so cropping the left a little closer stops her falling off the side of the image.

Ah, there's a lot of clues here - is that you, hotpasta? :) Not a bad image, although a little blown in the highlights, mainly the shirt. There's also a bit much space for my liking, with the amp taking a subtle centre stage, and the artist falling off the edge of the frame. Would be nice to edit out the barrel distortion too. Still, overall, not a bad image.
