Starring The Egg!

Interesting contrast in color and shape, the lighting is well done too. But IMHO the placement of the eggcups is a little bit confusing. The two ones in the foreground are blocking the view to the main subject. But they should lead to it. Perhaps it would have been better with only one to three eggcups. Nevertheless I voted 8. Good luck!

Unique and very creative, one of my favorites this week. The colors are working great together, the saturation is awesome. Your cropping makes it an interesting photo. Apart from the little reflection in the bottom left area of the egg there is nothing, what you could have done better here. But I know, that it's nearly impossible to eliminate them on a wet surface. Great work an good luck for the challenge!

I like your creative and unique idea! But IMHO there is some space for improvement by post processing. More contrasts in the sky (darker blue) and a little higher saturation of the yellow could have been helpful here. Nevertheless a nice shot!

By the way: Special thanks to my lovely girlfriend for bearing all the misery:

"Please sit down there in the window"
"Are you crazy, it's very dirty!"
"You don't do it for me, you do it for the art :-)"
"But YOU have to massage my feet later on and not the art!"
"Don't smile please, this is a despair challenge!"
"grrrrr"
"Can you open your jacket and pull up your knees?"
"Did you forgot that it's cold today?"
"Fine, this will help you to show the perfect expression of despair :-)"
"--expletive deleted--"

Look up, down, tearily, outstretch one leg, pull up again,(...), and now everything again with a different aparture...

Thank you Susi, this ribbon is dedicated to you ;-)!

For those who are interested in, some more information about this shot:

The Location is an military training area nearby my hometown. But at the weekend it is allowed to enter at one's own risk. We waited until the afternoon to get the sunlight from the left side. I wanted to see the light only on the storefront and on the model. The rooms behind the windows should be dark to highlight the composition with the 4 different windows. In addition the extreme sidelight causes better contrasts. The shot was taken from the roof of a small building vis-à-vis and the camera position was approximately at the level of the middle of my shot. Otherwise (by shooting bottom-up) the perspective in the vertical lines would have destroyed the balance in the composition.

Thanks to all of you for giving me the missing red one too :-)!

Could have been an interesting shot. But the flash (or this similar kind of direct light) unfortunately is completely destroying the impression and causes overexposed parts. Additionally I'm not shore about the border. IMHO the red color highly distracting! Nevertheless good luck!

Hm, I don't like this shot as much as you do probably. IMHO(!) the background is not very nice and distracting, the shot could have been a little bigger than 320x240px (up to 640 are allowed by the rules) and it could have brought into a sharper focus. Nevertheless best of luck!

Sorry, but IMHO uninteresting. Additionally it could have brought into a sharper focus too. I Hope, that other voters like it more! -3

Can't say exactly why, but this shot makes a great visual impact to me. Maybe because of the color, or because of the nice grain - it has feeling! Thanks for sharing - 9
