I did NOT need this today! by yakatmeComment: Originally posted by Cuttooth: Great image and write up. definitely deserving of the blue.
you did mention in the write up that you had to make sure the police dept's logo was not visible. i know it's not visible in the entry but in your lighting outtake, you can see it on his uniform and bike. not sure if it matters but just wanted to mention it. |
Great catch! I'll take care of that. Thanks a lot. |

Sleeping Giant by PenelopeKComment: Congratulations Penny, on another yellow ribbon. Good job on the post processing within the basic editing rules to emphasize the detail. That was a great catch. |

We have a winner! Yes, it's Robbie's. Well known to people who have a profile pic like yours. That is definitely South Florida water, maybe even Keys water. Where are you located? |

Down the Hatch by yakatmeComment: Originally posted by PennyClick: Congratulations, Robert. A great idea and great shot. You really turn up the heat for these team challenges. It's impressive that you can do that so reliably. For me it's much more of a hit or miss thing! Using a camera strap these days. :-) ? |
LOL, that is so funny that you should ask about the camera strap. I thought of you and Bear while I was shooting this without a strap and I knew that if you saw me that I would be admonished by both of you. I didn't come close to dropping it, but a couple of times the tarpon went for the camera and almost got it. They were as big as me and definitely could have swallowed the D700 and 28-70 lens together. Message edited by author 2011-09-28 17:00:27. |

Calm Sunriseby mpphotographicsComment: Wow, another well done HDR. This is absolutely beautiful the way you were able to properly expose so that we can see the detail under the water and especially on the shady side of the cliff while looking toward the sun. Great job with the capture and the post processing. |

Rockpool Sunriseby mpphotographicsComment: Nice, subtle use of HDR...that way I like it. Watch for tilted horizons, though. This one could use a bump up a little on the right. |

This shot is amazing. I haven't seen that far down their throat. It's interesting how you can see right through the gills. |
Actually, I'd like to see a picture of that if anybody still has one. That GTG was definitely a lot of fun. I don't think that I've seen a week long GTG on DPC since. |

Above The Red Fallsby RianBotesComment: Location, location, location??? I was looking forward to the end of the challenge to find out where this is. Can you please fill in that blank? Oh, yeah, it is a very nice shot of a cool place. I don't know if it was possible, but a lower point of view with more to see above the crop would have been nice. |

Mallory Street Bayby melodicgraceComment: Nice for your first try or any try for that matter. I like how you used it sparingly and kept the image real. |
