I like the idea here, but maybe a little bit more shallow DOF would have better served this composition.

This is a great photo of some boots. Very soft feeling. But it needs some brighter white somewhere in the photo. Otherwise it just looks too plain and dull.

There is no apparent detail in the photo. The lighting is very flat and dull, and the background color is also too dull. I would've tried maybe getting close to one or two of them, at a lower angle, and used the rest with limited DOF to add more character to the photo. Also, get rid of the border.

Really nice use of DOF. I especially like the out-of-focus shoe in the background to add depth and character. Nice desat/sepia conversion.
