The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System.by macrothingComment: Although I really like the compositional aspects of this photograph with the backlit grass, clear blue sky with faint, almost pastel, clouds in the distance, the sun is just too powerful. How to correct it, I don't know. Maybe the use of a graduated ND filter or something. This is not something I have attempted, and I do not believe I could come up with something even this good to begin. So, kudos to you. Nice work, just keep it up. |

Early Morning Torchlight by SimmsComment: What an inspiring photo. I never would have guessed this was done in a dining room! Excellent work. I love it! |

Tracks into the Desertby BAMartinComment: First, on the technical aspects of this photo: the use of the railroad tracks as leading lines in to the desert landscape, right to the water tower, is perfect. The inclusion of the giant saguaro cactus really adds to the impact of this shot. And the mono conversion was done very well.
Now, on another note: I really love Arizona landscapes. I grew up down there, and seeing things like this really makes me miss the area. This is a very nice photo. |

Watersoftby BAMartinComment: This is a great waterfall picture. I wish I could see your exposure settings and your comments in here as well. I feel that always helps viewers to understand the exposure and intention of the photographer. The crisp detail with the leaves on the left and the light glistening off of the rocks directly to the right of the waterfall make this a powerful shot. My monitor is a little on the darker side I have learned, so I can't tell if there is any detail that is supposed to be in the upper right. If there is on a properly calibrated monitor, great! If not, I would say that would be the one down side to this photo. There is also the falloff of the water at the bottom into a black abyss. Maybe a little cropped off of the bottom would also help. |

Generalby militarygirl10Comment: How can someone not appreciate a photo like this. Nice job. The background vignetting is not very smooth however. Was that an effect of the capture, or the processing? Either way, something I would recommend to look in to next time. |

Distant Memoriesby adeldeganComment: This is a good photo, but when I picture great photos of older people, I always see them in black and white. Unfortunate that this had to be a color photo, eh? |

Jamesby LalliSigComment: Very nice work on this one. It looks from the eyes as though you used a couple flashes or reflectors also. Is that the case? Anyway, nice job. |
