This is an interesting birdhouse photo. The idea is great, but this particular capture could use some work, and I would also recommend reshooting it to try different angles out. The colors are all a bit mute and the picure is so busy/crowded with all of the extra tree branches in it. To make the bird house stand out more, you may want to try using some curves and levels adjustments, as well as converting it to black and white and then dodging/buring a bit. It is a bit too centered of a composition. I would try cropping this one, and reshooting it at other angles and compositions also.

This picture is totally awesome! I love the idea. The clarity of of the model is excellent, and the background is just wonderful. You mentioned that you feel like something is missing. The only thing I could think of would be to make the exit of the heart a bit more prominent and real looking. Only I don't have any idea how to do that myself. Oh well. Still, a great image with a great track record. Nice work.

Oooohhh!!! I love this shot. The sharpness is perfect. The lighting was done just right. The background, the subject, everything! Now, with all of that said, how in the world do you light a shot like this?
