A new look at an old friendby jdannelsComment: wow - poster quality image for sure. 1 very small critism: Although i like the cloud ... it might be better with the apex of the bridge in the shot.8 |

Shoreline Hunterby DrakeComment: This is a great capture - some of the detail in the bird's head and in the water has been lost from either resolution issues or focus problems. In this extremely competitive contest this kinda stuff is magnified since we are looking at so many images. i thin kthe subject and composition is great but a little more clarity is needed. |

Memoriesby arpanrayComment: nice moment captures - you can see the hesitiation and excitement in their bodies - nice composition too. This photo jumps out for some reason. The sepia adds a nice nostalgia. 8 |

Boracay Beachby theONE77Comment: this perspective makes it look there is a falls drop-off ahead. Very nice. It almost looks as if it would be helped by a slight ccw rotation but it's tough to tell. |

under the pierby iccaComment: This is a tough subject and a tough lighting situation. A polarizing filter and a tri-pod might be good allies in a shot like this. The highlites are blown out which causes major distraction in such a competitive contest as this. I think if you could balance the photo out you could take advantage of great textures and lines that you have found here. The moldy barnacle-type stuff here along with the water, metal and rust really has good potential. |

Centuries Apartby FirstyComment: this is funny to me simply because it looks like something I would do :) ... I like the idea a great deal. I think it needs something - like more of a view of the face. I'm not really a big fan of the color just because it has eliminated white and that high tonal range. I would suggest using a desaturation effect with on an RGB image and use "colorize" which will give you a more complete tonal range. Hopefully this makes sense and hopefully you use photoshop because that's what I'm talking about. I did locate a movie link to illustrate a good way to do this:
