i like the sentiment of this photo. i would have liked to see this shot with softer light and a darker background. the shadow against the light background makes the photo look harsher than the concept feels, and the shadow distracts from the nice form of the rose. another thing that i keep noticing is that the card is in these nice warm tones, and the rose has these nice cool tones, but the two elements seem to stay separate, i think, mainly because of the conflicts in color tone.

what a spectacular flight shot! it looks like the camera focused on the branch and pvc pipe instead of the bird, though. such a shame! and with such vivid colors, too! groovy wing span, and groovy shadows too.

pretty autumn colors. like the swooping line of the landscape leading up into the right corner, and the lake's curve swooping down to the lower part of the picture. the sky appears to be set at different saturation levels, with the right side being highly saturated and the left side appearing almost overlit. in general, this landscape photo lacks visual interest for me. it's nice, but it doesn't command my attention.
