The contrast is nice here. The colors collide adding even more contrast. The moth itseld sudffers from a little blow out but over all I don't think it hurt it that much. Creativity is awesome. I can really feel what you were trying to acomplish here. Composition is good. very nicely done congrats.

Great creativity. The colors contrasting with each other are very appealing. There are a couple of problems though. The focus is lost somewhere on the leaf and should have been on the insects. Rule of thirds would have helped. Maybe a crop with the insects farther from the center would have been better. Lighting is a bit flat and could have been improved with flash to bring out the details a bit better in the black insect. Over all it is a very nice attempt. I hope they haven't gone too far and wouldn't mind asnother attempt.

Horse and Her Shoes

At first glance I was distracted by a couple of things. The half leg on the left and the stool leg in the background in the upper right. A tighter crop would have been better here. Everything else seems okay. The focues on the horses leg is nice with the boots in the back being soft and out of focus. The color in the boots add a nice touch. Other than the few things I mentioned it's a nice shot.

This seems well thought out and nicely done. It does lack a bit of contrast. Would benifit from another color or more saturation. Lighting is good and the detail is very nice. Compisition is great and the texture really shows nice here. Congrats and good luck.

Horse’s shoes

Very well done. Very nice to see someone be as creative as you were. I like that you actually thought this shot out and put some effort into it, it shows. The shot is well done. Composition is okay I would have cropped a bit tighter but no big deal there. The lighting seems a bit bright...flash I suspect. Side or back lighting would have been much better. Sharpness and focus are very nice as is DOF. This would be a great shot to play with in Post Processing. So many thing you could do here. Enjoy and congrats on a great shot.

This shot is too dark and fades into the distracting background. Your focul point is lost some where on the left and there is a bit too much noise in the shot. For this shot to have worked you would need to lighten it up and and something a bit creative.

Work Boots

We'll do the nice things first. The choice of colors was very well selected. The shoes show nice wear for your choice of making them antique looking. Now for the bad things. The composition could have been better. The tip of the shoe is off frame and hurts the shot a bit. The subject is not completely in focus and suffers a bit there. The cropping seemed a bit tight. Last but not least "How many times has your mother told you not to put your shoes on the nice new floor?"

Dancing Shoes

Very creative shot. Better than just a shot of shoes. It gives a reason for shoes and why we need them. The shot is a bit dark and under exposed from the shadows and slightly out of focus. More detail would have helped this shot out quite a bit. I like the cropping and composition it was done with thought and imagination. Very nicely done. I am also from San Diego and love to walk around Balboa Park and take candid shots of the locals and tourist.

Distant & Lonely

Composition could benefit from 3rds. It's very grainy and out of focus. Everything seems a bit blue except the buildings in the background. Not sure of the circumstances surrounding the photo so It's hard to tell what went wrong if anything. This coulod be exactly what you were going for. Needed a bit of info on the shot and idea behind it for a more in depth critique.
