For you choice of subject (old phone), you did good. But I can't for the life of me fiqure out why you did this effect to it? Your title makes me think that maybe you did this because you wanted to relate the message that the old phone was filled with fury? Huh?

I think that the main problem, and it is a big one, is that your entry does not make sense. The effect that you did riuned it. I love pictures that are different, don't get me wrong. But you should have just let the phone itself (focused) be the subject,....not a crazy phone filled with fury. You probably would have done pretty well.

Now you won the brown ribbon for this one. Don't be sad. There are more challenges and you can't do any worse. You can only get better from here.

Empty Nest

The white background is nice, I would like to see this with a black background to tone down the light some. I would not hve shot this in a natural setting because the nest would have been hard to see. I don't think that it would have stood out as well. I think that picking a solid background was a good choice.

The nest is a great idea for the theme! I agree that having a feather or cracked eggs even in the nest would be interesting but I also like it empty.

Where you positioned the nest in the frame is great too. I like how the main part is off to the side.

Overall, nice picture and I think that you did a great job. This challenge was difficult to rise to the top because of so many entries.

I really like this picture. The colors in the record are great. There is a blind or something that I can see in the background. Its not distracting, I just wish it wasn't there. The only suggestion that I would have is that you should have zoomed in more so we could see the raindow better but no so much that you couldn't tell it was a record.
