Barbecued Appleby evenfl0wComment: Mmmmmmmm... Stop making me hungry guys! I like the concept, the grate is a neat detail, but the subject is hard to ID as an apple. Yes the flames look really cool, but there's got to be a trade-off point between detailed apple and cool flames. |

Hey.... What Are You Doing On My Perch?by DrakeComment: LOL! I'm getting quite a few laughs out of this challenge. Great concept and I like how the apple's red is echoed on the bird (a nuthatch?). Slight improvement would be to have the right edge of the shot a little further from the apple. The apple has more visual mass than the bird, so maybe even the right margin slightly larger than the left. |

Apple in the Mistby LHSebiComment: Creepy... Is this an alien-abduction shot? :P Funny we just had the "silhouettes" challenge. I find the surface the apple is on a little distracting. LOL, if the lighting was a bit more intense, it would have more of an alien-abduction look, but my guess is that you were going more for stark and somber :P |

through a tube of waterby pollComment: Very mod concept, but the bubbles (are they bubbles???) detract from the over-all feel of the shot. Certainly A for effort! It's still a well-composed shot, and if it weren't for the bubbles, I'd so have a poster-sized copy for my wall! (PS: I'm such a nut for deco, mod and psychedellic art :P) |

Water Enhanced by spydrComment: That looks so refreshing! Colour contrast is great, I like the concept, and I want to ingest it. Great shot! |

Journey to the Center of the Apple - the beginningby narcisaComment: LOL!!! Not only do I get the joke despite my age, but it's a fab shot! The lighting's great, and I love the sharp focus on the water droplet. The focal point and the title really give this shot a suspenseful feeling. |

Oranges are not…by mrmorrisComment: It's a neat concept, and I like the lighting, but the lack of contrast between the apple and oranges makes it a less-than-spectacular shot. |

AJby totiComment: For some reason this puts me in mind of the last scene from Kill Bill: Vol. 1... Totally nifty, both in set-up and execution. (LOL, 'execution') |

Jawsby JamesterComment: hahahaha! is there a hapless swimmer above this munchkin? the overexposure really punches up the kid's features, and it's framed really well. |
