the covered bridgeby U622Comment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
What a cool old bridge. Would have been nice to see the inside timbers better - maybe more fill flash or curves adjustment in post-processing would have helped. I like the feeling of being led across the bridge. The colors on the other side of the bridge are nice, but could use a little pop.

The Sound of Musicby chisholmsmithComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
To me, the focus looks too soft. Composition is weak - perhaps if you had taken this at an angle and increased the DOF it would have brought mroe interest to the photo. There seems to be a lot fo noise in the image also.

Old Shackby JeremyFleuryComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
Composition: Would have liked to see this not centered so much, and a little less foreground.
Technically: The sky does not look natural in color - perhaps you adjusted the color range a little too much? It really looks odd against the green of the trees leaves. The greens are nice. Best bet would have been to convert thisto black and white, or sepia tones.

A Place for Moss to Growby dwolffComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
Kinda cool - but would have liked to see more of the tree as a whole as you mentioned it is sitting on the edge of a cliff - would have added interest to it. The flash really hurts this image, as the artificial light really blows out the highlights of the wood.

Shackby NazgulComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
What a beautiful piece of work. Excellent use of filter and post-processing skills. I love the textures that are displayed in such awesome detail. Colors are right on too. My only suggestion would be to include more of the foreground, off to the right or left to give a feeling that one was being led to the shack.

The wooden cross roadby VanGoghComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
Very moving entry for the wooden challenge. It send a strong message in my opinion. I would have like to see more of the lower end of the cross, but even as is the photo is very nice. The colors are all very complimentary.

Gideby maralomarComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
Good DOF. A little soft on focus. Color balance is right on. There are two distractions here - the orange lighting appearing through the gap in the boards, and whatever the brown thing is that is sticking up between two other boards.

Wooden Dreamsby ShannonLeeComment: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
Composition is nicely executed, but saturation might have been bumped up a bit too much as this looks over-processed and the sky totally blown out. I like the soft focus which gives it the dreamy feel. Not all bad for a "dinky little camera"

Dreamingby PippiComment: might have been even better if the people were more visible while apart from each other and gazing towards the other...then shown more transparent together as this would be their dream. Does that make any sense to you...I hope I conveyed my though clearly. |

Ring of Fire by NazgulComment: pretty cool - I like the idea of having the man on a cliff as it gives depth. |
