Clockwork by nightlightby ShamanComment: Nice sharp details - focus was right on. Love the angle and composition of this still life study. The use of the nightlight as your light source worked very well for this. |

Studyby RMyers1314Comment: Composition is okay - nothing that pops but it works. The lighting demonstrates that you did indeed use one light source and is well exposed. Good focus throughout |

Murder...by littlegettComment: soft uneven focus hurts this image in my mind. Also would have liked the lighting to be angled at a lesser angle so the shadow was more in perspective and wasnt cropping off the head |

Light as a Featherby KatmystiryComment: Very nice shot. The focus is tack sharp and the details of the feathers are well demonstrated. The very bottom edge of the feathers has a odd gray edge. The black background has a couple areas that needed to be cloned due to hot spots or white specks. Overall a very nice entry - just wish more time had been taken to clean up the background as this was advanced editing and simple cloning would have corrected it. |

Glowby BeeCeeComment: Interesting abstract. I like the sense of motion that is incorporated into this image as it makes it more interesting |

Rosesby DevonTComment: The lighting seems very harsh here. Reds can be difficult to manage and I think the front flower really gave you some problems here. The image lacks a central focus point...I see parts of the peach rose in focus, and most of the pink rose in focus, but very poor focus on the red rose. |

Dragon Mountainby PlanetMakerComment: Focus is too soft and the image has a bit too much grain/noise in my mind. I like the composition and perspective |

Potterby realpdmComment: I like this shot - I love the use of the lighting permitted and the b/w choice. Nice details throughout. Focus is strongest in just the right places. My only dislike here is the object that shadows in the right lower corner. I think I would have preferred to see a continuation of the pottery piece there. Not sure what is in the upper right corner either, but I would have cloned it out as it would not have been a major element. |

Just a Cold Egg...by tfarrell23Comment: Good focus and composition. The use of a single light source works well here and the angle of that light really bring out the detail of the condensation on the egg. nice job |

Spotlight Burstby smilebig4me1xComment: Focus and lighting are okay - but nothing special is happening for me here. I think if the composition were stronger it would help you - the centering of this subject just doesnt work well here. |
