No argument on the high contrast.
Too busy for this style perhaps. a simpler subject with fewer lines maybe.

Great effort, I would have liked to have seen the green a bit brighter as the contrast colour. although I guess that the white in the faces contrasts the black.
Like the pic as well - good score

Nice understanding of high contrast. The face is very well done but I dislike the indeterminate nature of the white side.
Do I understand your question then, is it hopeless and forlorn?

Insufficient white for a good high contrast pic IMHO. You have a large spike of light gray at the 95th percentile.
I would like to be able to see more of the detail

Reasonable pic of a vase, I dislike the noise in the background and the loss of detail on the flower
High contrast is achieved by combining red/cyan OR (deep)blue/yellow OR green/magenta OR for the ultimate high contrast, black/white. Yours is a mix of black with several mid order grays and very little white.

Nice pic, lovely looking young man.
Sorry but this is a monotone acromatic pic not a high contrast one. High contrast is achieved by combining red/cyan OR (deep)blue/yellow OR green/magenta OR for the ultimate high contrast, black/white. Yours is a mix of grays and black with absolutely no whites.
