Thanks! Actually was standing by the roadside. It was a bit hazy and I zoomed the telephoto to compress the curves in the road. This also magnified the haze and I think added the overall softness of the image. I liked the effect, so I thought it might be worth entering.

Interesting flare.
I think this image would be much stronger with a tighter crop. Take a look->if you get rid of some of the sides and most of the foreground, the far bank is almost suspended in space and looks pretty cool.

Nice peaceful mood. Composition might be stronger if cropped a bit more on the right, say almost up to the big yellow tree. (a matter of taste)
