beautiful dayby Jaded_HousewifeComment: The grame in this window is overbearing and really steals from the composition. Nice lighting, exposure and crisp focus, but perhaps a different window would have been nicer. |

In from the rain.by mysticredComment: I like the angled composition and the warm tone this capture has. I might have straightened it about a degree and a hlf clockwise, but that would be about it. Nice capture. |

Rainy Dayby phylsy7Comment: The toning and subject in this one sets a terrific, rainy-type mood. I think that the large pain is a bit disctracting, and shifting your position to the left a bit would have improve the composition. Perhaps cropping the single pane where the 4 psople are standing. |

old.jpgby ericwooComment: It surprised me, too. Hopefully better in the next one. |

New life buddingby KelliComment: I thnk that Dr Achoo hit the nail on the head. While I ma not a stickler for the "rules" of photography, the rule of thirds would serve this shot well. The lighting is somewhat harsh, and using some fill flash and a quicker shutter speed might help to isolate your subject from that busy background. It does seem over-saturated, but I am not sure that the red dots aren't there anyway. Overall, not bad, but still room for improvement. |

A New Castle Awaits the Coming Tideby chaliceComment: This is very nicely composed, the exposure is nailed and the focus is crisp. However, I think that the color really takes away from this capture. Forgive me, but I wanted to take a look at it with SEPIA TONING, and I think that the treatment serves it well. The color work in your portfolio is spectacular! I just think this one works a little better tined.

Derailedby LouisComment: This was one of my favorites in the toy challenge. Great composition and perfect focus. About the only thing that I would have changed is perhaps geting beyond that building on the right hand side. Great capture! |

OUCH! Sharpby tngrndreamComment: You definitely have the right attitude to stay happy on this site. Shoot for YOU and no one else (unless it pays well). This one looks like a great idea that jsut wasn't executed well. I think with a better composition, your score would have jumped. The knife is positioned well, but the hand position really leads the viewer out of the frame. It leaves me looking for more. So, what is the bloody stuff you keep in the fridge? ;) |

are you done ?by DanSigComment: Great pose and terrific catch lights in this one. I think that a change of wardrobe would have enhanced this one a ton. Her shirt doesn't really stand out from the background. I'd also open up that aperature a bit to lose some of that bg info overall. |

Lost in the woods ages agoby timfythetooComment: I really have no idea why this one didn't finish better. Perhaps not enough happy color for the DPC masses. Nice composition and excellent lighting. Perhaps a closer crop and the elimination of the dead limbs low on the left would have polished it up a bit, but overall a very nice shot. |
