I've got to ask myself,

How is a sports action shot a candid shot? The athlete is not on the sidelines, or getting a drink, or standing in line at the concession stand, or getting out of his car, or signing an autograph.

Sports action is just that, "action". A candid is something totally differant.

Photgraphically speaking however, this is a great "action" shot.

The tonal values are excellent, the light is great, great texture, great emotional value, excellent comp, excellent dof, the fence pole going up the athletes leg is not wanted, over all, this is not a candid scene, but a very good sports action scene.

This has nothing to do with your photograph.

STUPID FUCK!!!!

Ok, now that I got that out of my system.

Nice comp, tonal values are ok, the blacks seem a bit deep, nice texture, ok light, the thing in the bottom left corner is distracting, overall a nice candid.

What you know, and what I see are two different things.

As a photographer, you have to portray what you know in the frame.

I do not have ESP. I don't know different religious rituals.

In this image, all that I see is a man on a stoop, leaning over water.

For all I know, he is using the water as a mirror. For all I know, this man is getting cool by a fountain. For all I know, he is readying himself to dive in the water.

There is nothing here that explains what you want to show me.

OK, this could of been a really good image, but the thing is, my eye is drawn to the subject knees.

I feel like I am a pedafile (sp) looking at this image.

The face gives more impact than the knees do, showing here emotion.

If you had waited just another second, and "anticipated" her swing, you would of been able to shoot her face, and not her knees.

Poor comp, great color, nice light, interesting dof, good texture

As for the title, I am not convinced of 'blissfulness'. Since you are forcing me to look at her knees, my thoughts are far from blissfulness.
