The Netby jjbeguinComment: Thanks for the almost unanimous advice. I still think this is the way I want it. The light and dark zones are nicely distributed and form a pleasing composition. The soccer event on top adds extra movement in the image. This photo also reveals that my interest for graphics and the vegetal world has never been overshadowed by a passion for sports. |

Youth Soccer... best when soggyby DiamondPeteComment: Nice staging. A good cadidate for B&W. would put the umbrella and the lawn in the same tonal range. this would improve the balance of the composition. Would also add a little extra mood in this fine rainy day image. |

Showdownby zeuszenComment: I like the composition, the spacial awkwardness, and mystery in this one. Does one have to be Brithish to make some sense about what is goig on? |

Can I Play Too?by vonautschComment: Fine image and story.
One tip I will give you though (if you are using photoshop) is not to change the mode of your photo to grayscale but leave it in RGB. Go into the Image - Adjustments - Channel Mixer menu, select "monochrome" and start moving around the sliding cursors until you get an optimal range of grays. In this image the lawn texture and tone would be improved a lot by darkenig in the green channel.
I am sure this will eventually make sense to you. |

Machinist toolsby jeeptuningComment: Great choice of llocation. This picture would be great if you had set the light on the person or any other bright spot in the scene. This would make it a much darker and atmopheric picture but would show off all this great light bouncing off these machines. |
