nice shot easy to relate to and fits the challenge with ease picture is good but isnt overly unique or well shot. i think it is a little dark and i would have liked to see the foreground book (red) in focus 6

very nice shot. original ideas are my favorite. i think that there are other parts of the photo that i would have improved. there isnt too much contrast in the picture (pug= blond; wall=yellow; floor=light brown) maybe a red wall would have looked good but i understand not painting your house to take a picture. the other aspect that i would have improved is that there is little depth to the picture. every object in the photo is about the same distance from the camera. im refrehed by the concept which is what makes it better than most of the photos in this challenge. im soooooo tired of apples :P 7

i like the idea, the tree in the background is important because it breaks up the sky. would have been nice to have some color in the sky, but on the other hand the gray sky reminds me of feburary (cold) and ties other elements of the photo (coat, cold face). overall i would have liked more color in the background or maybe tried the shot in b&w to hide this. 7

im very refreshed to not have to look at another book or apple picture. the concept is good and the colors look great. i think that the photo would be a little better if there was a little more of a mess. i think it would made it more personal. i like having depth to the picture but i think more could have been done with the background. 8

this challenge has many many book pictures. for one to get a high score they really need to be unique and very well taken. i think that this one doesnt fall into either catagory. it has serious potential but i think it comes up a little short. i think this would have stood out more if there was a more creative use of DOF and lighting. but by the looks of the books it seems that you might already have your hands full. i know mine are 5

i think the picture was taken really well and i like the contrast in colors. the problem with taking a picture like this is it really needs to stand out in a challenge like this one. book pictures and apple pictures really need to be awesome to get high scores. i also like having more debth in pictures (use of foreground and background) 5

im not a huge fan of the overexposure and im having to assume that she is studying or writing a report but if this isnt the case then i dont know how it relates to the challenge
