This is an amazing shot. The leaf is perfect. The colors are fantastic. The ripples are mesmerizing and I hope my 10 helps you get a ribbon on this 'cuz it's a winner.
One thing... I would have spotted out the hot pixel and the sensor dust on the right and left sides of the ripple on the right toward the front. Also looks like a little sensor dust on the same ripple near the bend. If it's not sensor dust, it sure looks enough like it that I bet you'd run the DQ gauntlet clean anyway.

I think the water and trees are a wee bit too dark. The sky is awesome. Basic editing's a beach, huh? Still, this is definitely an 8.

This is great. Very appropriate title, too. A little tight on the bottom crop, though--just a little more space between the edge and the tail feather would have helped if you had it available.

This is a very cool shot. The ethereal "glow" under the frog is very compelling (like WHAT is it?) and really balances the composition on that side against the reflection on the right. The sharp focus on the frog also strikes a great balance against the reflected object on the right, too. And the colors are so "together". And the wide crop is perfect, too. However... there's a massive dust spot at about 1 o'clock off of the frog which really detracts. Other than that, this picture is definitely a "9".

i dropped a copy of this into Photoshop and it really looks 100% better on a black background. it's really an 8 or 9, but the light background is going to confuse some people, imho. anyway, very nice shot! it would be nice if dpc let us have a "preference" for the background color when judging some of these entries.
