Sploogeby MansonsdesdemonaComment: Nice photograph. Good color. Nice motion in the ocean. It just doesn't move around to look at it though. And guess what, I shoot shots that don't move me around either, no matter how much I want them to. |

Mummy My Finger Hurtsby trishComment: I was about to laugh out loud until I read the title. There is a mischevious look on mom's face and the youngster looks like he just got a way with an evil deed and mom is shutting him up and savoring the moment. But then, yes, then I see blood on the finger and the title and I have lost the moment. But it is a memorable image, extremely well done overall. If you put the blood on the finger, we have wildly different impressions of the scene, which is OK too. But I would have preferred the blood to be someone elses! |

Another Rainy Dayby JPRComment: Egad it comes so close to slapping me silly. I love it. But I wish it to be more. It all stands out so wonderfully except the counterpoint. And I doubt it's the photographer here. There is too much quality surrounding. If only for a bit less overcast, a slight break in the clouds to iluminate 3 degrees more the images reflecting. Very inspired and inspiring overall. |

Winter Gailsby Links 2 3 4Comment: Very nice. Reminds me of Adams. Striking motion balance a stolid line of ominous trees and a lighthouse far off but still "part of" the whole. This photo too, I would hope to make some day. It is inspiring to absorb the craft that goes into this shot. Excellent to my eye and my mind's eye. Wow. |

Gazeboby RudyC310Comment: Nicely done. I prefer greater contrast in shadows to balance shots like this. The vastness of the background puts all the pressure on the upper structure itself to carry the image. I'm not quite there with you, but know well that others will find the balance outstanding. |

Snow, Lights and Shadowsby AlainComment: I do like minimalism. Perhaps more so then the densely subtle. I would hand this on my wall. It is a form that requires patience and sincere introspection to observe the impression made. I hope others appreciate it as much as do I. |

Screaming for attentionby unnevaComment: Hmmm. Excellent photograph. Don't know what to say beyond that. It's not my thing. Screaming must be spontaneous or suggested by circumstance. Beyond that, it's like making faces in the mirror. Which is purely one man's humble opinion, and speaks not at all to the photographic technique, which strikes my untrained eye as exceptional. |

Waterlilyby RobroComment: I am new here and relatively so to serious photography; so, I will offer only my response, not a critique.
I've shot a lot of flower. They're such well behaved models and cheap too, with a beauty from which few can detract. An excellent image that is what one would see exactly. That is my only issue. I like to be startled, even by a flower.
However excellent the technique, I am not getting that wow response. It is likey only me. Excellent photography. |

This is what I would expect to see in a gallery. Very nice, well executed. I lack only for the ice or snow more visible lower frame. Maybe there was none. Nevertheless, tonal quality consistent with concept and clarity is outstanding. Very enjoyable image. |
