Tacking Apart ...by JeileenComment: Are we to conclude that this tack is feeling blue because it is all alone? It strikes me as a beautiful shot visually. And the fact that it works in a metaphorical way makes it much stronger. |

Attacked!by Pug-HComment: Woody abuse! Woody abuse! The color palette works nicely. And it's a nice take on the theme. |

(a)tackby DanSigComment: Intersting. I'm wowed at the inclusion of that big white shaggy blanket thing which fills almost half the frame. It somehow MAKES the photo; although after considerable reflection, I'm not clear about its connection to the tacks. Nice shot. |

In the Rainby ZoomdakComment: Remiinds me of the Letterman segment 'Will it Float?' Great composition, lighting exposure. Nice, simple idea. |

A Tack Dog ... (get it?)by saiphfireComment: Boy am I scared! Cute idea. Nicely framed. Good choice of bright light, short focal length lens. Although the dog's face more than fills the frame, I am left with a sense of emptiness here. Somehow the dog - in his choice of expression - has subverted the photographer's intent and has become the background, and suddenly the tack is too small. That's just what I see. |

Spike a Drink by TranquilComment: The fluid, glass, and background are ideally realized. I wonder if you considered using a clear or shiny metallic tack. Perhaps that would make the photo a little more confusing, but the muddy red color of this tack strikes me as being completely inconsistent with the visual qualities of the rest of the photo. I know it should be a quibble, but the tack is the 'focal point' of the photo and if it is not pretty, it's like a long joke with no |

Danger! Danger! Alert!by mocabelaComment: A beautiful image. I love the fact that it tells a story, one of our relationship to tacks ( and metaphorically to tax.) I love the lighting and the composition. I love the way we see the texture of the skin, the floor, and the tack; and the way all else is is blurred. Placing of the curtain in the photo is perfect. This strikes me as masterful work in every way. Bravo. |
