Inlet at Mid Tideby JoziComment: Love the color. Was there no way to get the great sweep of the curved bridge into the photo? |

The Bridgeby TiberiusComment: This is among the more photogenic bridges seen in this competition. And this is one of the good ones. |

Weary Wooden Walkwayby JarradComment: I think this more likely was a pier; but the posts are interesting. Not finding the sky or the weeds or even the water very interesting. And there's just not quite enough rotted wood to carry photo otherwise. |

Little Bridge Big Signby drake217Comment: Very funny; a sort of bridge of last resort. Does it seem wise - in an emergency - to rely on a bridge unsuited to normal traffic? Sorry, comment is supposed to be about the photo...The melange of textures is interesting, but mostly the photo seems cluttered, not interestinlgy lit. |

brandnewby messerschmittComment: It's made to look like it's a bridge in the middle of nowhere without so much as a road to connect to it. The lighting is strong and makes us focus on the bridge. The composition is simple and compelling. |

the bloody bridge of hellby DanSigComment: I don't understand. Is this the veiw from the bridge of a whaling ship or something? I simply do not understand anything in th photo. In any case, the photo is too dark and flat - probably because the auto exposure saw too much snow. Bad compositon, lighting, exposure.
I have the impression that the material in the foreground, if exposed correctly could be quite drammatic and gory. And the snow in the background would be a good foiil. Finally, it would be more helpful if we know what it is - even if the title tells us this. And we can draw our own conclusions from the content of the photo. |

February Thawby rileyComment: The bridge works perfectly with its environment. It's a little hard to believe that the railing was quite that green and the rest of the composition that black and white. Whether it complies with the rules or not, it is a nice aesthetic choice to make. Those icecicles are really the 'icing' on the cake. Nice. |

"Line Mania"by WangsackComment: Strong concept. Good Exposure. The telephone pole and clearnce sign are a bit distracting. |

Childish Bridgeby palmfrodurComment: Hideous acid-green light. The flash shadow. The wrong trousers, the unexplained green blanket on a green carpet, the awkward pose, the static composition, the empty green walls - it's all sooooo ugly. Perhaps it would have been better to turn the flash off and make the photo purposefully blurred and out of focus. We would be convinced that it is a perfect parody of bad snapshots. Apologies to the person who took this photo, but this viewer finds it offends just about every aesthetic sensibility. |
