red nudeby super-daveComment: this is really a great nude shot, i love the serene feel here and the negative space!
what i'd be interested in is how you set up your lights to get the background that white without blowing out her skin. if you don't mind to share...:) |

Lost in shadowsby hajekaComment: ok, cool subject with a lot of unused potential: straighten the house, convert to black and white with a red filter to darken out the sky, add more contrast and you'll have a much more powerful composition. you could have also used more of those nice tree branches to the left to give a bit more space to the comp and to give a better view of what surrounds that old house. |

7by MephistoComment: Originally posted by Sonifo: I am wondering what your intentions are here... Lighting, pose ..all that. |
actually i'm not really thinking about an intention when shooting these kind of portraits (which maybe sucks, but i can't help it). she has this beautiful red curlish hair as you can see in the other shots, but here i wanted to go for a more severe(?) look with her hair so i told her to press it against her neck. i cropped it half face because the light came only from the right side so the other half was shadowed anyways. i post processing i replaced the black background with the blue gradient bg, because that matched the skin colors best, that i had processed before. |

New Loveby escapetoozComment: wow, he is a lucky guy...:D
did you use an additional flash for the middle one, because there is a bright blownout spot on the woman's forehead, that is quite distracting...
otheriwse it's a great series, every single shot has it's own quality and message. |

web5.jpgby SechiComment: this is a great candid(?) portrait, love the different hues of blue.
the negative space above her head kinda bothers me, i cant really tell you why. and maybe try to straighten the background (on the right).
otherwise good work :) |
