| 03/25/2008 11:32:51 PM | Night Fumes by HauxonComment: This meets the challenge for me because of a study I did a few years ago on light pollution, for a middle school science fair, admittedly, but a study nonetheless. Astronomers should be pretty familiar with the term. When you're traveling on the Interstate at night, and you see a sort of haze in the direction of a reasonably-sized city, you're seeing the effects of light pollution. :) | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Yeah, I think I was just being stupid while editing. I love how the smoke turned out in the photo, so I really didn't want to crop out any of the smoke, whatsoever. Like I said, I was being stupid and stubborn. |
| 03/14/2008 12:05:39 PM | Fork Scorpionby Prime_TimeComment: Coolest. Thing. Ever.
I like the photograph itself, too. The shadows don't make it seem like too perfect of a photo, and the colors are really appealing to me. I just have the slightest problem with the tip of the one fork at the bottom, but I can't crop my way out of a paper sack, so I don't see why I'm talking. :) That one fork, though, now that I look at it, doesn't look like it's bent. Like, the lighting on the handle looks like it is, but it looks 2-D, you know?
I've got to say this, though, in relation to tpbremer. "Forkpion" is the most outlandish-sounding thing I've heard anyone come up with, and that makes the comment hilarious to me. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
