Nice idea! There are a couple of distracting items (dust on floor, and spurious smoke in left corner). Also, it looks a little soft - could use some sharpening. The smoke came out great.

Nice idea, but needs something more. The colors are kinda blah. I'm not much of a photoshop whiz, but perhaps some contrast or saturation would help.

Cool idea! I had a hard time making out the blood at first glance. Perhaps placing the flower in a pool of blood would emphasize it more?

There is something about this picture I really like, although I can' t pinpoint it. Maybe it's the expression on the subjects face. Why anyone would do this, I don't know - but it does lend itself to a big creepy factor.

Poor bird. Great idea for the challenge. Would be great if the bird's head wasn't in shadows (but nature doesn't help sometimes).
