Great shot. I like the portrait orientation because it gives depth to the canyon. One thing I would suggest is to turn down the sharpening a bit. The oversharpening is most noticable on the rocks to the left of the river.

Just got a chance to glance through this SP project of yours. You've got some really great shots in here and this is my favorite of the bunch. It really conveys the calmness you are refering to in your comments. It's also funny how it's sandwiched between day 11 (Goofyness) and day 13 (Crazyness) to show the ever changing moods of a teenager. Keep the ideas flowing.

I really love headshots. You done a nice job with this one. Eyes are crisp in focus. Your outdoor lighting is good. The one thing that keeps me from giving you a 10 is the hand placement. The index and middle finger give the illusion of being quite a bit longer because they curl over the rock and are not in the same plane as the ring and pinky. 9 One of my top picks.
