Well, this challenge was a real eye-opener for me, and I̢۪ve been humbled by the experience.

I chose to approach this challenge from a metaphorical perspective and failed badly. I̢۪ve come to understand, now, that this site approaches assignments quite literally. Whether I package future challenges into that mindset remains to be seen.

To boot, my submission was poor technically and compositionally; in my eagerness to participate in the challenge, I just didn̢۪t want to admit that.

Despite the abysmally low rating this submission earned, I still emerged from this competition as a winner because of the lessons learned.

Oh miy gosh - so modern. Not my perception of the Nile. Offers a new insight to an ancient geological feature. Perhaps the rail at the bottom could have been cropped with no sacrifice to the message of the pic?
