Placing things smack in the middle of the frame is rarely optimal. It is a nice shot, but weighting it to one side/corner adds tension and energy to a shot.

Not a bad shot of a topsail schooner. I think you could have bumped the contrast up more and the white modern boat at the stern is distracting.
