This meets the challenge well for me, but it's too much. Too much gaudiness and I'm not crazy about the red overtones. Sorry...

This is one of the most wonderful portraits I've seen. What a face on that guy. Great job processing, too. Wow! Also, I know that titles don't mean everything, but this is such a moving title, I can't not mention it. Congratulations on the whole package!

The detail and the light and the colors ... spectacular! Even the title is a winner. Congratulations on making a wonderful image. The background looks almost 2 dimensional, like a drawing. I've been staring at it for a while, and can't figure it out.

Wonder how this would be if it were cropped so the leaves were not dead center? The background helps the leaves and their stem to stand out nicely.

Wonderful lighthouse and impressive b&w. The grain adds to it for me, as do those really black blacks. And what a sky!

Beautiful dress - what a great heirloom. I'd love to see a soft light on the dress, so the pretty details could come out more. A different background might work, too. The dress is sweet.

Ah, I wish this little bug were bigger, even if it is a bug's view :-)

In this image, each separate subject is a winner by itself. For me, though, the fact that there are 3 main subjects (steps with statue, sky, and domed building) competes for my attention too much. I think any two of the elements alone would've been a winner, but not all three. You are a master at processing! This is really an amazing and good job technically.

Definitely meets the challenge topic, without a doubt. However, the focus and business detracts from all the interesting stuff this scene has to offer. Keep trying, and keep entering challenges! You've found a nice scene here.
