Girlby ergatesComment: This is by far my favorite portrait so far. Love the warm, subtle coloring. Her expression is so natural and direct. I like that stray hair across her eye. Very nice composition. |

First Light on A Foggy Morning Fogby BrianRComment: I've rated 303 images so far in this free study. Yours is one of my top 5.The light and the colors are great. That fog covering trees and fields in the background leads they eye into the foreground to the area getting the first rays. Really like this. |

The Captainby FalcComment: God, he's got some piercing eyes. I wouldn't want this guy mad at me. Great job with the processing. I might have gone a bit easier on the sharpening, but I also know that I am incapable (so far) of making an image this good. |

8 monthsby ksmith2Comment: This is about the best maternity shot I've seen ever. You've made the most beautiful tones and well, it's just a great image. Congratulation if this is your child! |

I Can Block the Sun with my Handby xianartComment: Wonderful!! At first when the image began to load, I saw only the grain at the top of the house. I thought it was going to be a normal boring grainy snapshot. What a surprise I was in for. This is an image that I could spend a lot of time with. The title is perfect. Love all the stripes and other forms that the shadows make. My first 10 after 403 votes. |

asperousby annahComment: One of the best, if not the best portraits in the entire challenge. Added bonus was looking up the word "asperous" and discovering that this portrait *is* the definition. Something that appeals to me about this is that it's not taken from the usual straight-on angle, but rather a bit from underneath. He's got loads of character and the image processing luckily also has loads of character. Great job! |

Ansichtby ajschelComment: Fantastic!! I have no criticism at all about this and can only say what I like about it. That's easy to do because I can say it in one word: everything. |

Fallen Angelby frumoazniculComment: Obviously, this is technically wonderful; really, really good job. But the thing that jumps out and makes me love this little girl is that dirty foot. It's a heartbreakingly sweet image. Hope you do very well with it - you better! |

Awesome x 2 !!by SandyPComment: Ah, they are so sweet! This is such a great angle for a portrait. It's really nice how the one twin's necklace complements the other twin's straps - makes such good lines leading to their faces and those gorgeous eyes. |
