Ack! It took me so long to write my original critique of this shot that it timed out and didn't accept my vote... and my whole thing got eaten up! Stupid computers.

Anyway... this was vote #250,000 for me, and I like to leave in-depth comments on milestone votes like this. So here goes... again.

Unless my face-recognition skills are going downhill, it looks like timfythetoo is the lucky recipient of vote 250,000! And the crowd goes wild :)

My first impression is that this isn't in the upper echelon of your work. I always enjoy the humor and photographic quality of your work... I think of shots like the Tooth Fairy that just about made me spit Pepsi on my computer screen. This one tells a fun story, and meets the challenge perfectly, but doesn't leave me in awe like some of your other shots.

I guess, ironically, the shot is just too cluttered for my taste, which is of course what you were going for. It leaves me without a good focal point to rest my eyes on. But I could make just as good an argument that this quality is what makes the shot better because it makes me want to explore it better, from the pizza boxes, to the laptop, to the piles of clothes.

And it is a plus that you're eating Fox's Pizza Den pizzas! I have done a lot of work with the folks at the Fox's corporate office... I did the programming behind their web site, and did the design work for many years. I also work with many of their franchises. Of course this has absolutely nothing to do with your shot now, does it? :)

Anyway, as I look at the shot I also can't help but wonder: "Does his bedroom always look this way?" Hope not! ;)

I'm giving it a 6... just enough creativity here to bump it up to "a little above average" for me. Good luck!
