Out of the Blue by JeanComment: Very striking and the shape left in the blue is intriguing. I'd score it higher but I don't find the expression on his face as he holds his breath appealing. it's more an image that I find fascinating that appealing, though that's not explaining it very well. I'll try come back and clarify that a little if I can. 8, kavey |

Wiredby BukiosComment: Great shapes and great shades of grey within the shadows. 6, Kavey |

bird on a wireby FranziskaLangComment: The positioning of the diagonals and the bird in the frame are absolutely spot on perfect. The colours are a little bland but that probably adds to the simplicity. 8, Kavey |

THE GIFTby alexComment: I like this shot and the sky is just beautiful. I'd like the far bank to be horizontal in the frame. Because there is such richness of detail - the silhouettes, the sky and the branches, this doesn't really feel like a shot with negative space to me. That's not to say a sunset silhouette couldn't be, but this one just has so much going on. I appreciate that this is according to my personal definition of negative space and your mileage may vary ;) 5, Kavey |

herselfby aelithComment: Nice photo but background is too cluttered to be negative space (under my own definition, I appreciate your mileage may vary;) 4, Kavey |

gone barefootinby queen 91Comment: I think in this image the positioning of the shoes in the corner of the frame really does add to the impact. The colours are quite soothing and very reminiscent of summer days at the park. 6, Kavey |

Red, White & Blueby mullany1957Comment: The expanse of sky here really gives me a feeling of size and space. In that respect it's negative space and there is a good reason for there being so much of it. Despite that, the picture on it's own isn't that striking to me and so I am giving it a 5. I do think it makes a good use of negative space. 5, Kavey |

There are NO Butts about it .. Smoking is disgusting!!by CreativeFlyPhotoComment: This speaks of negative emotions or actions to me, but as an image it doesn't have negative space to me, and that's because the main object, the cig butt, is surrounded by secondary objects - ash particles - which make the background too connected to the foreground. I appreciate that this is according to my personal definition of negative space and your mileage may vary ;) 5, Kavey |

shopperby grahamgormanComment: I keep looking at this and every time I think it's a man, put me out of my misery and let me know. I like the detail and colours but can't work out which is the negative space and which the positive. 6, Kavey |
