I really like the perspective and angle here - they turn this from a mediocre image into something much more striking - I really think they make the shot.
Feels too dark overall to me and too contrasty but that's just my preference.

Nice composition and like the inclusion of the curved enclosure walls. Good green colour water contrasts with hippo skin. Little too much strong light around hippo mouth but also great highlight in the eye.

Lighting is lovely though I find the back end of mouse on top just a little too dark.

On first glance the content is nothing special and yet it keeps pulling me in. It's the feel of the colouring I think - it evokes something - some feeling of air raid sirens going off and the world after a nuclear strike. It has feeling to it.
I don't know if this is what you were intending though.

I love the idea used at the bottom of the photo - the toy holding the CD and using it as a mirror. I don't like the rest of the image and feel it just detracts. I'd like to see this done with a plain background, perhaps cream cloth or something, with the lower right subject matter as the whole thing.

I really lie the way you've rotated to present the reflection itself in the orientation of the original scene. It's quirky and very effective, reminds me of a painting because of the texture, in a way it wouldn't have done if left upside down.
