Beautifully taken and the background makes it clear that it was indeed taken from above.
(Not that I doubt that any of the flower images were taken from above, just that many of them don't make it visually clear within the image itself).

I'd like this a LOT more without the red food and water bowl in shot. A completely plain, pale background thrown out of focus by DOF settings (as it is now) would really show the cat off better, IMO.
I think the pose and capture of the cat itself is great.

This is interesting! I do like the contrast of this soft pretty white Iris and the dried brown leaves beneath!
That said whilst I like the contrast I don't know that I find those leaves attractive.
Adding points for more evidently meeting the challenge (in terms of SHOWING it) than other flower images submitted, but scoring a little down because I find the dry brown leaves a bit unappealing.

It's not a matter of distrust. I am MORE than happy to take it on trust that this was shot from above. It's a case of the image itself not reflecting that in it's content and therefore not SHOWING me the challenge theme within it.
I do like the image though but am marking a little lower for not SHOWING that it meets the challenge. (Which is different from not meeting the challenge in terms of the actual taking).
