Mmm Goat on a stick!
I think it needs some fill in light to bring out the skull detail BUT I really like the halo effect of the backlighting which you wouldn't want to lose.
Basically it's just that the shape of the goat on a stick silhouette doesn't really appeal so much to me as a shape...

Too small and focus is really too poor to make this worth looking at. The kind of snapshot that's probably mainly of interest to the people in it and their friends/ family. That said, eye contact is good - if it were in focus and larger that would really help pull viewers in.

Only the title links this to the challenge in any way. The image itself fails to convey the theme completely. It also lacks visual interest for me - no focal point and no unusual composition (from cloud shapes etc) either.

I have looked and looked and I just don't get the message/ concept.
Though I'm starting to entertain thoughts of virgins in chastity belts being burned at the stake!!
I do really like the image and would be interested to learn what your idea/ challenge interpretation is.
Great diagonal and wonderful mix of red, yellow, bronze and black.
Visually highly appealing and very enigmatic.
