Ten Widdle Toes On Two Widdle Feet.by KitaComment: I don't like feet - I have a bit of a phobia. But I overrode it because this one looked so interesting in the thumbnails (and as I'm not voting I can cherry pick which entries I view and comment on). But I closed the window immediately on first sight of those dirty, overgrown toenails! I've braved a return to make a comment since I feel it's only fair! I don't mean to be offensive, I hope you won't take it that way, but I really feel that this aspect lets the picture down a great deal and it's a shame because the composition is marvellous, the colour is rich and beautiful and the shallow depth of field just perfect. In an artistic presentation like this the state of these toenails/ feet just doesn't fit, in my mind. A reshoot after a pedicure would be a photo indeed! :o) |

What size?by sherComment: This is different and unexpectedly appealing/ interesting. I like this idea of a study of a tiny well-known detail from every day life. The compartments create a strongly structured composition that's softened by the less regulated shapes and textures of the shoes. Very interesting. |

un-eaTENby tateComment: This grows on me each time I view it - mainly because it's so nicely executed - the composition within the frame works well - mainly because it's so simple. The colours and textures are revealed by the careful lighting. The repetition of the number 10 adds an extra dimension. My only criticisms are of the title and the border, both of which, in my opinion, detract from the shot itself. |

Fun in the Sunby whiteroomComment: This is such a fun picture - I really like it. I think it could be improved simply by being shot at a different time of day when the light (and shadows) weren't quite so harsh. But it still works as it is! |

Quiet Progressionby MelethiaComment: I like this mix of man-made barriers being used by nature as it carries on it's inexorable growth. Great background too and composition works. |

Painterlyby ArtysteComment: Interesting composition - that abrupt cut adds some tension to it. It's unexpected and odd. Like it! |

Life on the Edgeby spydrComment: Lovely sharp focus on the insect, nice saturation of colour and great shallow depth of field. All good! |
